Achieving recovery from addiction is a journey.
Sometimes you’re coasting, sometimes you need to buckle down and push harder. And sometimes you need outside help.
For patients who have been receiving outpatient treatment and need to increase the focus to a more intensive level, IOP can be a good solution. It’s also a way to stave off impending hospitalization for someone who realizes they’re on a downward spiral.
For patients who have been receiving outpatient treatment and need to increase the focus to a more intensive level, IOP can be a good solution. It’s also a way to stave off impending hospitalization for someone who realizes they’re on a downward spiral.
IOP treatment is an outpatient service that allows patients to get the steady ongoing support they need for difficult periods in their recovery. It includes both individual and group sessions with qualified addiction counselors and medical professionals who help guide individuals through the day to day challenges they’re experiencing. IOP is not intended to be a long-term solution but a bridge to stable maintenance.
Our IOP program provides an array of clinical programming and topics that are 2-3 hours in duration and offered four times per week. Patients can attend IOP virtually (using telehealth) or in person.
In our IOP, patients learn skills and techniques to help cope with the challenges of everyday life that can impact their recovery from alcohol and other drugs. We support patients’ pursuits of employment, school, and social engagement. Family is important, and community is important. Stress and addiction impact the ability to maintain and foster these areas of life. In IOP, patients learn how these components fit together to support overall wellness. IOP creates a lattice of support on which to hang the building blocks of recovery.
IOP puts extra focus on:
- Handling alcohol and drug cravings and triggers
- Learning how to maximize communication
- Improving health knowledge and skills
- Building and sustaining healthy relationships
Once a patient graduates from IOP they may choose to maintain their recovery journey in our other programs and levels of care. If the need arises, a patient can always return back to IOP.
We accept Medicaid, Medicare and Self-Pay patients.
