Dr. Erika Kane Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Erika Kane was born and raised in and around Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She then completed her residency at the University of Maryland, training in Family Medicine and becoming the Chief Resident during her final year. With an early commitment to serving the underserved, she began her career providing primary care in Community Health Centers. It is in this environment that she saw firsthand the effects of substance use on the overall health of her patients. Which began her 20 years’ journey in treating addiction and comorbid conditions.
Today, Dr. Kane serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and Concerted Care Group (CCG). Prior to the merger, Dr. Kane served as the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer of Concerted Care Group since 2015.
With a significant history in treating addiction, it was no surprise that Dr. Kane’s professional interests became integrated treatment models for substance use disorders and motivational interviewing for primary care physicians. Not only that, but Dr. Kane is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and a Fellow of the American Society for Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Kane lives in Ellicott City, MD with her husband and two children. She has embraced the role of tennis and theater mom to her two beautiful kids. Through all her achievements in both her professional and personal life, Dr. Kane does not forget to pamper herself by making sure she has time for reading, modern calligraphy, and paper crafts.
