Genevieve King Vice President of Operations and Compliance

Genevieve King serves as the Vice President of Operations and Compliance for Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health. She is a dedicated leader who prioritizes staff development, focusing on leadership and management growth. Her leadership style emphasizes providing a safe space for colleagues to grow, test their skills, and learn from mistakes. Genevieve envisions an ideal work environment where hard work, respect, and a sense of humor thrive.

Genevieve began her career in mental health and substance abuse in 2006, working in residential settings for adolescents. Her experience expanded to in-home counseling, gang intervention, life skills training for incarcerated young adults, and aggression replacement training for families. After earning her master’s degree in leadership and obtaining her CSAC, Genevieve worked in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as a counselor, clinical supervisor, and director.

As she progressed in her career, Genevieve developed a passion for administration, eventually taking on director and regional roles. Her dedication to community advocacy and public speaking led her to join state opioid task forces and community education programs, where she has been a vocal advocate. Genevieve has served as the VA AATOD president, Conference Chair, and state delegate to the AATOD board, gaining a national perspective that has supported her in state initiatives, legislation, and program development.

Genevieve has also successfully provided leadership for JACHO and CARF accreditations, but most importantly, she has become an integral part of many patients’ recovery stories.

Outside of work, Genevieve finds peace hiking through the woods, kayaking, or spending time with friends and a cup of coffee.
